Hola Amigos...

We are taking quizzes in our classes this week.  All classes are excited to see how well they do.  In Kindergarten we took a color quiz. First graders took a quiz on two of our verbs: Comer/to eat and Jugar/to play.  We drew pictures of what the verbs mean. In second grade we took our quiz on our daily used pronouns/yo/I/tú/you/él/he/ella/she.  Students had to recognize them in English and  in Spanish. In third grade we had to translate the definition of some places we use when practicing in our Spanish workbooks.  Some examples are: La escuela/the school, la casa/the house, la playa/the beach, la tienda/the store.  We also practiced putting our sentences into the correct order when using the special letter A in Spanish.  For example, when speaking about going to the house we say "voy a la casa" or when going to the park we say "voy al  parque."  Third graders did well with this. In fourth grade we took a quiz about conjugating the verb JUGAR in the singular and plural present tense.

Remember to always practice, practice and PRACTICAR en español!!

BIENVENIDOS.....amigos!  We are learning a lot in Septiembre!  We are learning our colors in kindergarten and the verb tiene which means "to have."  In first grade we are learning about Jugar which means "to play" and tener which means "to have." We are also writing in complete sentences. We graded our pre and post tests in 1st and 4th grade. Our students did very well!  In second grade we are working on comer and jugar. And, forming complete sentences!  Third graders are still using their books from last year and reviewing our books. Fourth graders are working hard on learning their verb conjugations! Go SPOEDE Escuela!

Hola amigos....hope you all have had a great couple of weeks back to school.  We are all learning a lot about each other and how we enjoy Spanish.  Spanish was traveling into the classrooms and taking student's to music after our class.  Starting next week we will be located in the back conference room for Spanish class.  SPOEDE ROCKS! We are certainly showing what R.O.C.K.S stands for in all of our classrooms.

K-classes are learning colors, me llamo, and getting to know each other well
1st-classes are doing the same as K! In addition, we are also learning about YO and Tú and preparing for our first "pre" test and we will give the same test during the second semester.
2nd-classes are receiving their Symtalk books so we can start jumping right into full grammatically correct sentences formed in Spanish.
3rd and 4th- classes are learning about conjugating our Spanish verbs correctly and fourth grade will be working on using the plural forms and in conjugated sentences.

Hola Amigos.....our 4th graders are getting our books published soon.  We are close to having them sent off.  Please make sure to send your money in this week.  19.95...will get you a cool book published made by our Spanish class.  It will be an awesome Spoede memory to have forever.
