Hola amigos nuevos y no muy nuevos,
We are learning our summer vocabulary and sharing out with our friends. This year we are speaking in class 99% of the time in Spanish. We are enjoying this experience and singing many new songs we have learned along the way. Please ask your child to sing a few songs. Research shows the earlier we are exposed to a second language, the more opportunity we will have to carry it on into our adults lives. Please ask your child to share with you what they are learning about in Spanish. I am always happy to help if your child needs more review.
Hasta pronto amigos:)

Hola
¡Hola amigos!
Hi friends welcome to the months of Abril and Mayo. We are working hard to keep our brains thinking in Español. We are trying to finish up our Spanish workbooks. At the end of Mayo/May we will end up taking our Spanish workbooks home. The books are a great resource to use while at home to keep our minds thinking in Spanish. Please feel free to email me with any questions or if you are looking for ideas on how to keep your Spanish alive while on summer break:)
¡Gracias !

¡Bienvenidos amigos! Feliz 2018...
Hola y bienvenidos a un año nuevo. I hope everyone had a great break and was able to practice some of their Spanish vocabulary. Keep in mind that there are plenty of websites that you can use to help study. Please check my messages from before to see what those fun websites are.
We were pretty excited to get back to learning more about Spanish speaking countries and what other Spanish countries do during the Holiday season. We discussed what popular food/comida dishes are made and shared with family. Ask you child if they remember what Paella is and what country is known for this dish.
For the next two weeks we will be covering our material in our libros/books. Please feel free to connect with me anytime.
!Gracias!

Hola Amigos y hola Noviembre ....
Hola Amigos,
We are working hard in Spanish. All of us are having a blast singing about our colors, numbers, days of the week and our months of the year, all in Spanish. We are also aware of how some of our friends are feeling. Ask you child and see what they say? ¿Como Estes? How are you? See what your child says. Or, ask your kiddo what Me Gusta means. Or, what their favorite day of the week is. Most should answer by saying Me gusta....domingo, lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes, sábado OR even reply with domingo. The fun is endless.
All grades use workbooks, color and practice our vocabulary use everyday. Workbooks come home at the end of the year. Be aware of our sheets that come home periodically from week to week. All grades use the Spanish language in class that is enriched with adjectives, verbs, nouns, colors, greetings and much more. If you are ever interested in getting more activities sent home with your child, please let me know. I am happy to send more Spanish work home. When our students see that la madre or el padre are interested they will want to aprender más:) Lastly, please enjoy a fun website where your child may practice more of their vocabulary. There are two fun games on www.abcya.com click on all games and search for Spanish bingo or Spanish word toss. The fun is contagious.

What is new in Spanish?!
Hello Parents,
We are doing a lot of things in Spanish. In kindergarten we are coloring in our books and enjoying singing our songs. Most of our songs are about the colors, numbers, greetings and the seasons which also cover the weather changes too.
In first grade we are also working in our books, but cover more vocabulary. Some of our vocabulary includes verb usage like, comer-to eat, beber-to drink, gustar-to like and jugar which means to play.
Second graders work enjoy working in their workbooks too. We cover much more. For example, we form sentences using the first, second and third person. Ask your second grader what Yo como el pastel means. Or, Tú comes el pastel. Our second graders are hard workers.
Third and fourth graders have workbooks to use in class as well. The small difference is how long our sentences become. However, fourth graders are learning how to use the plural forms of the verbs we have learned in the previous years. Ask your child is they know what nosotros means or what the difference between ellas or ella means.
Always practice your Spanish at home at any given time possible. Tumble books is a great resource to use. USERNAME Spoede/LOGIN books.
