What is new in Spanish?!

Hello Parents,

We are doing a lot of things in Spanish.  In kindergarten we are coloring in our books and enjoying singing our songs.  Most of our songs are about the colors, numbers, greetings and the seasons which also cover the weather changes too.

In first grade we are also working in our books, but cover more vocabulary.  Some of our vocabulary includes verb usage like, comer-to eat, beber-to drink, gustar-to like and jugar which means to play.

Second graders work enjoy working in their workbooks too.  We cover much more.  For example, we form sentences using the first, second and third person.  Ask your second grader what Yo como el pastel means. Or, Tú comes el pastel.  Our second graders are hard workers.

Third and fourth graders have workbooks to use in class as well.  The small difference is how long our sentences become. However, fourth graders are learning how to use the plural forms of the verbs we have learned in the previous years. Ask your child is they know what nosotros means or what the difference between ellas or ella means.

Always practice your Spanish at home at any given time possible. Tumble books is a great resource to use.  USERNAME Spoede/LOGIN books.

¡Hasta pronto!
